The public is invited to this year’s Williams Lake Fire Department open house.
The open house will have various activities for people to enjoy, such as equipment demonstrations, educational displays, kids firefighting challenge, among others.
Fire Prevention Training Officer, Cory Boyd says they hope to see a great turnout like last year.
“Last year’s open house went great. Lots of the same things will be here this year, we’ll have Sparky still coming out along with face painting, and we have invited multiple other agencies so that they can also show off their trucks and equipment as well.”
The Fire department will also have one of their popular events, where the firefighters climb their tower, pull rope and a dummy, among other challenges to show the public what they do.
The open house will be on Saturday, May 25th, from 10:00am to 2:00pm at the Williams Lake Fire Hall (230 Hodgson Road).
