Quesnel Fire Department was called out to a roof fire at Quesnel River Pulp on Finning Road over the long weekend.
Fire Chief Ron Richert said they responded at about 3:27 yesterday (Monday) afternoon.
“Upon arrival crews had fire on the roof area of the mill. Crews were on scene for about two to two and a half hours and responded with multiple engines and the ladder truck there.”
Richert said there was some damage to the roof section and the cause of the fire is still under investigation.
As for the rest of the Easter Long Weekend Richert said it was pretty quite.
