Inadequate tires were found to be the cause of Tuesday’s accident on Canim-Hendrix Road.
The vehicle slid off the road and into the ditch, requiring that the two occupants be treated for minor injuries at the hospital.
During their investigation into the incident, RCMP found that the tread depth on the tires was under the legal limit and a violation ticket was issued to the vehicle’s owner.
A tread that is less than 2 millimetres is considered legally bald and unsafe for driving.
