Downtown Williams Lake to host an Art Walk once again

Residents in Williams Lake will soon be able to enjoy local and regional art in various downtown businesses.

30 locations will show different pieces of art, which include paintings, sketches, pottery, quilting and more.

This year, people can expect to see more artist participation.

“We actually have 12 new artists, and that includes two artist collective, one of those being the Ladies of Williams Lake First Nation and the other just being some turnover within the Cariboo Art Beat Kids.” says Amanda Fuller, Event Coordinator for Downtown Williams Lake.

“We’re really excited to just be welcoming a wealth of new faces this year.”

This year, the Art Walk will have a total of 36 artists showcased for everyone to see.

Fuller adds that they’ll be having a grand opening to kick off the event at the Williams Lake Farmers Market.

The Art Walk will begin on August 11th, and will run until September 6th.

To find out which locations will be showing pieces of art, Fuller says people can use the guidebook, which can be found at the Tourism Discovery Centre, the Downtown Williams Lake office, or the Farmers Market.

More information can be found on Downtown Williams Lake’s website here.
