It’ll be a very Happy Holidays for the 100 Mile House Food Bank and, by extension, for anyone requiring their services.
Executive Director Bob Hicks explains that the food bank will be receiving a chunk of funding to help out with their programs and operating expenses:
“We applied for a grant from BC Gaming and received eighty thousand dollars and its going to really help out our Christmas program, and our all year program.”
The money will be critical as through one distribution this month, the Food Bank has seen a twenty-two percent increase in usage.
