It’s National Public Works Week.
To celebrate it, Rob Warnock, Director of Municipal Services in Williams Lake, said kids and kids at heart are welcome to attend their Yard Works open house on Saturday (May 27).
“We invite the public to bring their kids down to the Yard Works on 2nd Avenue. We’re going to have our equipment out so the kids can see what the backhoes looks like, the loaders with the blower on it, we’ll have a dump truck and a vactor truck also on display, anything that we deal with in Public Works will be available.”
Warnock added it’s also a great opportunity for adults to come out and ask any question they may have about what they do
“There will be lots of staff around,” Warnock said, “you can ask us question about snow removal, it seems to be a hot topic sometimes, or what we do in the Summer.”
