Fire destroyed a fourplex in 100 Mile House early this morning.
100 Mile Fire Rescue Chief Roger Hollander says the call came in just after 5 o’clock but unfortunately the structure, located on Canim-Hendrix Lake Road, was already heavily involved in flames.
Hollander says they couldn’t save the building but fortunately everyone made it out.
He says there were 6 adults in total and one child who were awakened by the neighbours.
Hollander says two of the adults suffered smoke inhalation and were taken to hospital as a precaution.
They have since been released.
Hollander says emergency social services are now working with the residents to try and find housing for them.
A total of 20 fire fighters were on scene and Hollander says they received some mutual aid from the Forest Grove and 108 Fire Departments.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
