The 2014 Apprenticeship Outcomes Survey says 91 percent of students who studied in the region are sticking around.
Minister of Jobs, Tourism and Skills Training, Shirley Bond says a good chunk of the response came from females.
“16 percent of respondents were female and that was the highest level of any region in British Columbia so we are seeing some good outcomes.”
According to the survey 86% of former apprenticeship students who replied are employed while 94% were either satisfied or very satisfied with their training.
