The Supreme Court of Canada will hear an appeal by the BC Teachers Federation.
It’s part of a 14 year legal fight with the province over bargaining class size and composition.
This morning, a leave of appeal was granted to the union by the Supreme Court.
The Teachers Federation won in lower courts back in 2002 and 2012 when they argued the province had infringed on teacher’s rights when the BC government legislated class size and composition.
Last April, The BC Court of Appeal agreed with the provincial government after it ruled they did not violate any educator rights.
