Wranglers fall to 1-4 on the season with loss to Storm

The 100 Mile House Wranglers’ start to the season continues to be less than ideal.

The Wranglers travelled to Kamloops Friday night to take on the Storm.

Nathan Bohmer opened the scoring for the Wranglers in the first, with Colton Thon picking up the assist. Six minutes later, the Storm’s Zakery Anderson scored with Evan Clark and Devin Benson picking up assists to make it a 1-1 hockey game.

In the second period, Ty Horner (assist Colton Phillips-Watts) and Evan Douglas (unassisted) each scored for the Storm, making the score 3-1.

In the final frame, Peyton Kelley (assists Ty Horner, Mason Svarich) extended Kamloops lead to three goals. The Wranglers answered back with one more from Garth Rasmussen (assist Chase Vancoughnett-Lafleur).

Casey Thompson started in net for the Wranglers and stopped 44 of 48 shots faced.

The Wranglers will have another crack at the Storm on Tuesday at the South Cariboo Rec Centre.
