Just one week after severe flash floods swept through the village of Cache Creek, volunteers continue the cleanup in hopes of a quick rebuild
The local United Way Branch is spearheading fundraising efforts for the beleaguered village in hopes of filling the gap between provincial relief funding and what is needed for residents says Danalee Baker, director of Community Impact
Baker explains that United Way is both providing tax receipts for donors and matching donations up to ten thousand dollars.
Over sixty homes were affected by flooding and evacuation orders of various magnitudes following a storm that saw thirty-to-forty millimeters of rain fall on the village in less than an hour.
