Eventful Thursday for Williams Lake RCMP

Drug Bust

Money, drugs and a loaded firearm.

That was what turned up late last night when Williams Lake R-C-M-P executed a search warrant of a residence in the 4000-block of MacKenzie Avenue.

A quantity of crack cocaine was seized and one arrest made at the time.

The arrested individual was later released on a promise to appear in court.

Stabbing

A man is in custody and was in court today after allegedly stabbing another man early yesterday morning on Second Avenue in Williams Lake.

The victim appeared in hospital around seven thirty a-m and was treated for non-life threatening injuries.

The investigation into the incident led to a quick arrest as the perpetrator was known to the victim.
