A 22-year-old man from the Williams Lake area was arrested after brandishing a knife and trying to get into parked vehicles.
100 Mile RCMP were called Tuesday morning shortly after 7 about a male who was believed to under the influence of drugs wandering around the Taylor Avenue area.
“While police were responding, the male fled from the area,” said Sgt. Don McLean.
“He was located a short distance away. The male complied with orders to drop the knife and was subsequently arrested without incident.”
No one was injured.
Charges of possessing a weapon for a dangerous purpose will be recommended to Crown against the man.
