The CRD is hosting a community firesmart meeting at the 108 community hall March 5th at 7:30 PM.
Al Richmond, CRD area G director says the meeting will cover reducing fire potential on your own property and update local residents on what the CRD is doing for wildfire preparations in the wake of last years fires.
The meeting will give residents important information on making their homes more prepared in the case of another wildfire in the area. The meeting will also have updates from the CRD recovery manager and local fire departments.
The 108 meeting will also have an update on the Walker Valley fuel reduction project.
The second meeting is scheduled for March 8th at 7:30 PM at the Lac La Hache community hall.
