Water Park Coming To 100 Mile House

What started as a small fund raiser collecting pennies in 2010, is now bringing a Waterpark to Centennial Park in 100 Mile House.

Jamie Hughes, one of the organizers for the Waterpark, explains where they are in the process.

“We’re building. We raised the funds, so the district is now in the process with the engineers to hopefully start construction once the ground thaws”

Hughes says the park is not a continuous spray and will be hand operated, making it very water efficient.

She says while she doesn’t exactly know what the park will consist of, the concept will be grasslands, with sprayers and features relating to the marsh and forest in the surrounding area.
