South Cariboo Rec Centre Awaiting Word on Expansion

The South Cariboo Joint Committee will decide this evening whether the South Cariboo Rec Centre receives an expansion or not.

CRD Chair Margo Wagner and Councillor Ralph Fossum have successfully put together a concept plan for the expansion that they’ll present tonight.

Wagner explains how Councillor Fossum and herself completed the mandate presented to them.

“So we have completed the concept plan, we’ve been working with architects. We’ve got a concept plan which we feel has a lot of uses and has a very marketable function.”

Wagner says if the plan is approved, public consultation will be a big part of the process moving forward.

The meeting will be held tonight at 4 at the District of 100 Mile City Council Chambers and is open to the public.
