Boil Water Notice issued for users of the 103 mile water system

The Cariboo Regional District has issued a boil water notice effective immediately for the 103 Mile System.

Peter Hughes, manager of environmental services with the CRD says they won’t be able to get updated samples of the system until next week.

“We can only sample on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays that’s the days we can get our samples from the lab so it will go over the weekend and we will be sampling on Monday, and it usually takes a couple days to get results back, so it will be a week anyways.”

Hughes says water should be boiled for drinking, cooking, brushing teeth, and for washing dishes and food.

The CRD has contacted interior health to request their cooperation in investigating this matter.
