A member of the Cariboo Regional District was given a prestigious award at last week’s Union of British Columbia Municipalities Convention in Victoria.
CRD Chair Al Richmond was given a UBCM Lifetime Membership in honor of his term as UBCM President and was humble in his acceptance of it.
“it’s I guess prestigious one to have and a certainly and a honor and a privileged one to mostly to have served my municipal colleagues in the position of being President of UBCM but it’s also certainly a honored to be recognized and receive that award”.
This is Chair Richmond’s eighth consecutive year on the UBCM Board and he will continue to represent the CRD on the UBCM Executive Board this year as Past-President.
