The Cariboo Regional District Board has approved some funding for the Mount Timothy Ski facility.
Al Richmond, CRD chair, lets us know how much funding was provided and what it will be used for.
“It will be up to $49,000 provided to Mount Timothy from our community works fund. This is designed to provide them with some upgrades, they have some issues in the building with respect to exterior doors, some insulation issues, and some other repairs.”
Richmond says a new UV filtration system will also be installed to treat the water as per a requirement from interior health.
The new installations also include improved heating systems and insulation which will help to save on energy costs at the facility over the course of the winter.
