Interior Health’s Board of Directors has approved a significant investment in senior’s care through a competitive bid process for the development of new residental care beds in communities across Interior Health.
Executive Director for Residential Services with Interior Health, Cindy Kozak-Campbell has these details on the announcement.
‘We’ve announced that a total of 243 new residential care beds across Interior Health today. 70 new beds in Williams Lake and 14 new beds in 100 Mile House. The beds in 100 Mile House we’re anticipating will open in the spring of 2017″.
Kozak-Campbell said 100 Mile House was not included in the bid process because they already have shelled in space in their Interior Health owned and operated facility so they are not requiring someone to build a new facility for them as they’ll be staffing those additional 14 beds through Interior Health.
