This morning’s power outage in Williams Lake was due to a bird.
Hydro spokesperson Dave Mosuer wasn’t sure of the exact location of the point of origin, but did say crews were prompt and quickly found and repaired the issue.
He suspects it was most likely a blown line breaker on a pole with a transformer.
The power was off to a large area and was out for about 20 minutes and reports indicate the bird did not survive.
