BC Wildfire Service Crews continue to work on a wildfire burning 22 kilometres south of Riske Creek.
Fire Information Officer Natasha Broznitsky has this update.
“The fire burning near Farwell Canyon is currently 8 hectares in size and we have 26 firefighters and 1 helicopter working on it. Tomorrow we expect to put the fire into the patrol stage meaning it’s a very inactive fire and that tomorrow firefighters will be looking carefully for any hot spots or smoke”.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
