Williams Lake Conservation Officers are asking for the public’s help in finding the person or persons responsible for the shooting of a deer this past Thursday night or early Friday morning on Highway 20 and Fairview Road.
Conservation Officer Darryl Ashworth explains how he found out about the incident.
“We got a call here from a member of the public who located the remains of a deer on Friday at two in the afternoon. What he located was just a gut pile of the deer. The carcass was gone along with the head”.
Ashworth suspects it was a large Buck that was shot there with a cross bow and hauled away because every year we have large Mule deer bucks hanging around that area.
Anyone with any information is asked to call the RAP number 1-877-952-72-77.
