The two candidates for the Cariboo Regional District in Area B will make themselves available to the public tomorrow at a “Meet and Greet” at the Bouchie Lake Community Hall at 2 pm.
We asked both candidates what they saw as the key issue in the area.
Jerry Bruce, the challenger, says he is in a listening mode right now to find out what people’s concerns are and why they may want a new representative…
Bruce says he feels there are larger issues as well with communication with the Cariboo Regional District.
Heloise Dixon-Warren is the incumbent CRD Director for Area B.
She says there are several key issues for her, including making rural communities healthier…
Dixon-Warren says she also believes the funding formula for recreation should be more equitable so that the facilities in Area B are more supported.
An upcoming open house and all candidates meeting for Area B residents meanwhile, is scheduled for Nov. 8.
