Residents of 100 Mile House and the area are advised the Emergency Department at 100 Mile House District General (OMH) will be closed until tomorrow[Wednesday] morning.
Interior Health says emergency services at OMH will be unavailable from 7 p.m. on Tuesday, March 18, until 8 a.m. on Wednesday, March 19; however, all inpatient services will still be available.
Patients can access emergency care at Cariboo Memorial Hospital in Williams Lake during the OMH’s ER closure.
People who need life-threatening emergency care (i.e. chest pains, difficulty breathing, severe bleeding) should always call 9-1-1 for transport to the nearest available and appropriate facility.
Interior Health says if anyone is unsure whether an injury warrants a visit to the emergency room can call HealthLink B.C at 811, or visit HealthLinkBC.ca.
