First Coffee With Council For 2025 Is Monday In 100 Mile House

Monday isn’t only St Patricks Day, it’s also a day to have Coffee with Council.

The District of 100 Mile House is inviting residents to come out to the 100 Mile Community Hall and to bring along any questions they may have.

Mayor Maureen Pinkney said it will be an open forum and opportunity to share with Council maybe what their groups are doing in the community or simply ask questions about anything at all.

“It is finance time so can ask us what it looks like coming down the pike for possible changes on their taxation. We don’t know some of those kind of answers until the tax rolls come from the Province. It’s just an open forum so you can come and meet and greet and if they don’t know what Council does they can just ask us anything.”

Pinkney said not everyone wants to come to a formal meeting or phone ahead and get put on an agenda but they do want to share their ideas.

“The last Coffee with Council we had the skateboard park group come and we weren’t even aware that it was active again. That’s how we find out what’s going on in the community, that’s how we find out what people are wanting and looking for in the community. The feedback that we get is very is very important, we really look forward to just the open forum part of it where anything goes,” Pinkney added.

Coffee with Council is Monday March 17 from 3 til 7 at the 100 Mile Community Hall and everyone is welcome.
