BC Wildfire service will be supporting 100 Mile Fire Rescue in conducting a pile burning project at Centennial Park within the District of 100 Mile House.
Burning may begin as early as today (March 5) and will only proceed if conditions are favourable and allow for venting.
Smoke may be visible to the 100 Mile House community and to motorists travelling along Highway 97.
BC Wildfire Service and 100 Mile Fire Rescue will carefully prepare, control and monitor these piles at all times.
