A 38-year old man, charged in connection with a shots fired case in Williams Lake, has pleaded guilty to a number of charges.
Curtis Joseph Paul pled guilty in provincial court to a charge of possession of a firearm without a license or registration, flight from police, refusing to provide a breath sample, and mischief under $5,000.
Several other counts, including unlawfully discharging a firearm, possession of a weapon for dangerous purpose, and dangerous driving, are going to be stayed.
Paul is due back in court on March 26th to fix a date for sentencing.
RCMP were called to a residence on Mackenzie Avenue back in December of 2023 for a report of a man discharging a firearm in the direction of a person at the house.
The suspect was then accused of fleeing the scene in a pickup truck.
While at the residence, police say they received multiple calls of an erratic driver in different parts of the city, and that a person also reported that the driver pointed a firearm at them.
A suspect was eventually arrested with the aid of a spike belt.
RCMP say a search of the vehicle revealed a loaded firearm.
