Stranded snowmobilers located in the 100 Mile House area

The search for two stranded snowmobilers on Mica Mountain had a happy ending.

100 Mile House RCMP Sergeant Brian Lamb says they received a report this past Wednesday (Dec 11) that they had got stuck and were having mechanical issues near the Spanish Forest Service Road.

“Search and Rescue were called and they attended and located the two individuals unharmed. Both were well prepared for the backcountry and had a GPS communication device, warm clothing and food and water.”

Lamb says they were able to provide their exact location by GPS coordinates and were quickly found by Search and Rescue.
