Local Business Donates Considerable Amount to Local Palliative Care

A local Quesnel Furniture store made a considerable donation to local palliative care.
City Furniture and Appliances and Ashley Quesnel donated $1,500 to the Quesnel and District Hospice Palliative Care Association, on Thursday, December 5.
“As an organization and a family, we support palliative care. They provide such a necessity in our community,” says Parveen Pannu, COO of City Furniture and Appliances and Ashley Furniture. “People who are going through a hard time, they make it a comfortable place for families to spend that extra time with their loved ones.”
The funds will be used to purchase foldable cot mattresses and other essential supplies that provide comfort for patients and families.
Ashley Quesnel donates to a different community organization to give back during the holidays each year.
The donation funds come from the furniture’s success with it’s local shoppers, that help the furniture store give back to the community.
“We ask our customers to shop local during the holiday season… As a token of our customers shopping local, we in turn support the community.”
