1st Responders Worked Together To Help Those In Need In The South Cariboo

100 Mile House RCMP were out in the community doing their part to help make Christmas merrier and brighter for those in need this Holiday Season.

On Friday (November 29) they along with Commercial Vehicle Safety Enforcement, members of 100 Mile Fire Rescue, and Freshco teamed up to host the Annual “Cram The Cruiser” food drive.

From 10 until 2 they were in the parking lot of the Cariboo Mall collecting donations and when it was over they were able to fill three police vehicles.

Additional cash donations in excess of $500 was also collected from people in the community who gave so generously to this very worthy cause.

All the food and money they raised was dispersed to both the 100 Mile Food Bank and Loaves and Fishes.

Police said the event was considered a success and the community showed great support once again for this annual event.
