Logging Truck Theft in 100 Mile

100 Mile RCMP is seeking information on a truck theft.

RCMP says a fully loaded logging truck was stolen early in the morning of November 23 in the 800 block of Exeter Truck Road, just north of 108 Mile Ranch.

“Investigation suggests that the trailers may have also been in the area of 105 Mile House and stopped somewhere in the general area before being abandoned,” says Sargeant Brian Lamb of the 100 Mile RCMP. “The initial time of the theft is believed to have occurred just after midnight.”

Lamb adds that the lumber on the truck was covered in West Fraser wrapping. RCMP believe that a forklift and semi-tractor were used to unload the lumber and move the trailers.

“This incident would have taken some planning, this isn’t just a one-off,” says Lamb. “This is something that’s probably likely been pre-planned out… I’m not aware of any previous lumber theft of this magnitdue.”

100 Mile RCMP urge anyone that who say anything suspicious or out of the ordinary in the 108 to 100 Mile areas on the night of the November 22 and 23, to call the detachment.
