100 Mile District General Hospital faces emergency service interruption

Limited nursing staff availability will cause the emergency department at the 100 Mile District General Hospital to shutdown overnight tonight.

Interior Health says the temporary emergency department services will be closed and unavailable from 6 o’clock pm tonight, October 29, until tomorrow, Wednesday October 30 at 7 o’clock am.

Residents and patients in need care can access it at Cariboo Memorial Hospital in Williams Lake, at Lillooet Hospital and Health Centre, or Royal Inland Hospital in Kamloops.

People in the community who need life-threatening emergency care should always call 911 for transport to the nearest available and appropriate facility.
