Quesnel City Council to take home bigger pay cheques in the New Year

Members of Quesnel City Council are getting a raise.

As per Council policy, it is a 2 percent raise which is in line with the Consumer Price Index in September.

The Mayor will now make $65,349, which is an increase of about $1,281 annually, and each Councillor will now get $22,119, up about 434 dollars.

The increases will start in January.

Previous increases were 3.3 percent in 2024, 4 percent in 2023, 3.5 percent in 2022, and 0.4 percent in 2021.
