The advance pools in the two Cariboo ridings for the upcoming provincial election have been very busy so far.
Elections BC says 2,252 people voted in the first advance poll in the Cariboo-Chilcotin riding on Thursday, October 10th.
4,877 people have voted early in that riding over a total of four days so far.
There are a total of 32,228 registered voters in the Cariboo-Chilcotin riding.
In the Prince George-North Cariboo riding, 4,876 people have voted in the four advance polls to date.
The most was last Thursday on the first day with 1,683,
That riding has a total of 33,055 eligible voters.
Provincially, a record number of people voted on the first day of advance polling on October 10th.
There were 171,381 votes cast, easily breaking the old record of 126,491 from 2017.
There are two more advance polls, today and tomorrow, in the two Cariboo ridings.
100 Mile House residents can go to the community hall on Birch Avenue, 108 Mile residents can vote at their community hall, and Williams Lake residents can go to the Cariboo Memorial Complex in the Cariboo-Chilcotin riding.
In Prince George-North Cariboo, Quesnel residents can vote early today and tomorrow at the St. John the Devine Anglican Church on Kinchant Street, and there is also an advance poll at the Miocene Community Centre.
General voting day is this Saturday, October 19th.
