New regulations go into effect across B-C today (Tuesday, Oct 1) , requiring major construction sites to provide proper flush toilets and hand-washing facilities.
The rule covers all construction sites with 25 or more workers.
WorkSafe BC will go slow on enforcement in an effort to make sure companies are aware of the changes, and what is required to be compliant.
Construction workers’ unions have said the lack of proper toilet facilities is the most demeaning issue their members face.
