The Williams Lake Mustangs have yet to see a loss in their first two games of the season.
The team shut out the Merritt Centennials 1-0, with the lone goal coming in the second period from the City’s own forward, Asher Lucas.
Mustang goaltender, Evan Leggett stopped all 35 shots from the Centennials.
The Quesnel River Rush are still on the hunt for their first win in team history, as they fell to the Eagles 5-3.
Shots were 46-33 in favour of the Eagles.
The 100 Mile House Wranglers find themselves in a similar position after a shootout loss with the Revelstoke Grizzlies, ending 5-4.
Wrangler Forward, Nash Hilworth lit the lamp twice, with goaltender, Michael Malinowski stopping 38 of 42 shots from the Grizzlies.
The Mustangs and Wranglers play again at 7:00pm this Friday (September 27th), as the Mustangs host the Osoyoos Coyotes, and the Wranglers visit Creston Valley to take on the Thunder Cats.
The River Rush return Saturday at 7:00pm to take on the Osoyoos Coyotes at home.
