BC Manufacturing Funds Being Shared By Several Cariboo Businesses

Several manufacturing businesses in the Cariboo will be getting a financial boost to increase competitiveness and capacity for locally made products.

In 100 Mile House Pacific Bending Inc will receive $582,000 through the BC Manufacturing Fund to support the construction of a new building that will increase capacity to meet current demand while creating 10 new full-time positions.

New Wave Docks, also in 100 Mile House, $300,000 to construct a new 14-thousand square foot steel engineered building on the existing site to house a large scale roto-oven and aluminum fabrication shop.

This project will create up to 16 jobs.

Tsi Del Del Development Corporation will get $422,000 for the creation of a sort yard for biomass to centralize the processing of waste wood that would otherwise be burned in order to manufacture higher value products.

It will create up to 16 jobs.

And OT Timber Frames Ltd in 150 Mile House $235,000 to expand their production facility thats two CNC machines to scale-up the production of prefabricated homes, creating 5 jobs and protecting an additional 20.
