No New Wildfires Started In The Cariboo Fire Centre Following Wednesday’s Thunderstorm

The Cariboo Fire Centre reported no new wildfires were started when the thunderstorm passed through the region yesterday. (Wednesday)

Fire Information Officer Pedro Roldan-Delgado said they will however be monitoring for any lightning holdovers throughout the day today.

On the current wildfire status in the Cariboo Fire Centre Roland-Delgado gave this update.

In 100 Mile House we currently have 4 active wildfires and all are under control. The Williams Lake and Horsefly Fire Zone there are 6 active wildfires, 3 out of control, 2 under control, and 1 being held. Looking at the Quesnel Fire Zone there are 7 wildfires, 6 being under control and 1 being held.”

In the Cariboo Chilton Fire Zone Roldan-Delgado said there is one active wildfire and it is currently being held.
