Williams Lake area man to be sentenced for aggravated assault

A sentencing hearing is scheduled to take place next month for a Williams Lake man who pleaded guilty to a charge of aggravated assault.

56-year old Larry Christopher Jeff is due back in court on September 18th in Prince George.

Jeff was arrested in September of last year after RCMP received a report of a person attacking someone with an edged weapon in downtown Williams Lake.

Police say the man had fled the scene on a bicycle prior to their arrival, but the victim was able to identify a suspected and he was arrested a short time later.

Police say the victim was taken to hospital with serious injuries.
