Williams Lake’s Performances in the Park is around the corner

Performances in the Park is making it’s return next Thursday (July 4th) with a line up of musical artists.

Last year, the goal was to bring more representation, which was achieved, and will carry that goal over to this year.

Producer and Manager, Venta Rutkauskas says they also want to bring in a larger audience.

“One of our newer goals is to try and reach a bit more of the tourist that we know that come through town.” says Rutkauskas.

“We do want to get back to the farmers market on Fridays when we can to reach a different market, and get our advertising out to hotels and some of the Airbnbs that are in town just to let people know that this happens every week.”

Rutkauskas says this year’s line up of performances is an exciting one, which includes the Cariboo Chilcotin Youth Fiddle Society.

A new performance they will be having is on August 8th, which is a Punjabi act that Mayor Surinderpal Rathor is helping organize.

Performances in the Park will continue every Thursday until August 22nd, with more information on the Central Cariboo Arts and Culture Society’s website here.
