Williams Lake Stampede goers should be able to enjoy the outdoor festivities with little rain.
The start of Stampede, which is today (June 28th) and Saturday should remain fairly dry, even reaching the 20 degree mark.
Warning Preparedness Meteorologist, Armel Castellan says the only day we could see precipitation is Saturday night and Sunday.
“Friday and Saturday will be warmer still will be a super nice start to the weekend.” says Castellan.
“Then to cap it off on Monday, we should see a drying trend. There could be a couple clouds left from the Sunday system, but certainly the clearing trend will be favourable.”
Castellan added while temperatures will be higher this weekend, they will still be below seasonal.
Quesnel and 100 Mile House is forecast to be similar to Williams Lake on Canada Day, but he says if the shower activity is localized enough, one location could experience some rain.
Castellan says further south could see less precipitation, however clouds may roll in earlier in the day.
