Alexis Creek boil water advisory has been rescinded

The Cariboo Regional District has announced that Alexis Creek’s boil water advisory has ended.

Authorization to remove the notice was given by the Drinking Water Officer after two successive samples were provided showing no coliform bacteria.

The advisory was originally issued on June 12th, 2024, asking residents to bring their water to a rolling boil before consumption and cleaning.

The CRD said that residents can now resume normal water use.

They noted that their water systems are tested regularly to ensure they meet public health regulations.
