Winter Weather Makes 99 Mile Ski Trails ‘Perfect’

The snow blanketing the South Cariboo for the past week has a set of fans in 100 Mile House.

Gary Carlson, a groomer with the 100 Mile Nordics reports that the conditions for skiing are absolutely great and the trails at the 99 Mile Hill are groomed and ready:

Yeah it’s great. Everything is all groomed and ready to roll. We were just out there grooming this morning. It’s great skiing… There are no rocks showing, there’s nothing showing, actually. It’s probably the best it’s been in two years.

With Environment Canada calling for flurries and continued daytime highs of between minus five and minus thirteen, the ideal conditions should persist, at least for the immediate future.

Something going on in the Cariboo you think people should know about?
