Mainly Cloudy And Warmer Than Normal Temperatures For Remembrance Day Ceremonies

Tomorrow is Remembrance Day.

While Legions throughout the Cariboo busily prepare for the ceremonies they have planned, we asked Environment Canada Meteorologist, Alyssa Charboneau, what the weather will be like for those residents planning to attend them.

“In the Cariboo things are not looking too bad. We’ll see some winds overnight from the south 30 gusting to 50 but that will diminish in the morning giving way to a mainly cloudy day. There is a slight chance of showers in the forecast, forty percent for Williams Lake and Quesnel, and a bit higher towards 100 Mile House. There’s a better chance of seeing these showers in the early afternoon which means the morning for those outdoor Remembrance Day Ceremonies will hopefully just see mainly cloudy conditions and daytime highs around plus seven.”

Charboneau said with that forecasted temperature it will be about five degrees warmer than normal for this time of year as the average daytime max is around two degrees Celsius.
