The City of Williams Lake is wanting input from residents to help develop an Accessibility Plan.
This comes as the Province’s new Accessible British Columbia Act requires the city to develop an accessibility plan by September 1st.
The City said that their goal is to create a culture where they’re actively seeking to identify and remove barriers which impact the full participation of people in community life.
As for what input they’re looking for, it can be a wide variety of thoughts, ideas, and suggestions.
Feedback is being collected, with continued consultation with City staff and the Accessibility Advisory Committee on plan development until August 10th, with input to be submitted at 4:30 on that date.
