Firearms case in Williams Lake ends with guilty plea

The accused in a Williams Lake firearms case has pleaded guilty to one of the four charges against her.

37-year old Jennifer Bach pleaded guilty to one count of possession of a firearm knowing its possession is unauthorized.

Three other charges, unauthorized possession of a firearm, unauthorized possession of a firearm in a vehicle, and possession of a restricted firearm with ammunition, were stayed.

Bach’s sentence included a conditional discharge, 24 months probation, and a 5 year firearms prohibition.

41-year old Trent Gullickson was also charged in connection with this case but he was found to be unfit to stand trial.

The charges date back to July of 2020.

RCMP say the Cariboo Chilcotin Crime Reduction Unit stopped a vehicle and that a search revealed a dozen firearms, 8 pellet guns, prohibited magazines, and several hundred rounds of ammunition.
