Cariboo Family Enrichment Centre gets re-accredited with a better outcome

The Cariboo Family Enrichment Centre (CFEC) got re-accredited, without any out of compliance ratings.

Without any out of compliance ratings, the CFEC can move forward without any work to be done to improve the re-accreditation.

“So what makes this process very unique for us this year, is that we have zero issues with anything that we do as an organization, so we did it perfect the first time, which is quite amazing actually.” says Chris Pettman, Executive Director.

Pettman added that the ratings are given by the Council on Accreditation, and score from one to four, with three and four being considered out of compliance.

He says that the process is quite long, as it takes about a year when everything is said and done.

It involves reviewing all the internal functions, policies and procedures, management, financials, service delivery for clients and more.

Further, a self study is conducted and sent to the Council on Accreditation, and is reviewed to make sure everything is up to industry standard.

The accreditation will last four years, when the CFEC will need re-review the organization.
