100 Mile Airport Updates Council: Med-Evacs Are Making a Difference

A representative from the airport made a presentation at last night’s meeting of the 100 Mile House and District Council

Airport Manager Ken Greenall appeared before council to give a rundown of the year’s activities including the importance of maintaining the facility in relation to health and safety in the area:

I think the biggest single thing that I touched on is the use of the med-evac helicopter. If it’s a life and death situation, that’s what they bring in and I think for that reason, alone, it’s imperative that it (the airport) stay there.

Greenall was adamant that the time saved by having the airport available for helicopter medical transport often is the difference between life and death.

Something going on in the Cariboo you think people should know about?
