West Fraser has announced the indefinite curtailment of one of its sawmills south of the border.
The company issued a release today for its Perry operation in Florida.
High fibre costs and softening lumber markets are stated as the reasoning behind the decision.
It will impact 126 employees and will reduce West Fraser’s US lumber production by 100 million board feet.
